Invisalign Clear Aligners in Salem, OR

Straighten Your Smile with Clear Aligners Made for Daily Life

Clear aligner therapy

What Is Invisalign?

Invisalign straightens teeth with a series of clear, removable aligners (custom plastic trays) worn over your teeth. Each set applies gentle, steady pressure to guide specific teeth into place, and you move to the next set every one to two weeks as your smile gradually shifts. Clear aligners can correct crowding, gaps, and certain bite concerns without brackets or wires.

Your first step with our team at White Sage Dentistry is a conversation about your goals, followed by an intraoral scan that creates a 3D model of your teeth without impression material. Patients considering Invisalign in Salem can also upload a smile photo through our free Virtual Smile Consult and receive a personalized video with recommendations, no visit required.

Straightening on Your Terms

Benefits of Invisalign

Crowded or crooked teeth can be harder to keep clean and more noticeable in everyday moments. Invisalign offers a discreet way to straighten them with fewer changes to how you eat, work, or socialize. During your consultation, Dr. Shruti Jadeja reviews your goals and alignment concerns so you understand what clear aligners can realistically change.

Straighten Teeth Without Drawing Attention

Clear aligners are difficult to spot during meetings, photos, and conversations. You can work toward a straighter smile without the look of metal brackets, so treatment feels like a private decision rather than a public one.
Your aligners come out whenever you eat, so there are no brackets to protect from crunchy or sticky foods. A quick brush before the aligners go back in keeps food from being trapped against teeth between meals.
Removing your aligners lets you brush and floss the way you always have, with no wires to work around. Straighter teeth also leave fewer tight overlaps where plaque collects, which may make daily cleaning easier long after treatment ends.
Smooth, custom aligners avoid the brackets and wires that can rub against your cheeks and lips. You may notice pressure for a day or two with each new set, which is a sign your teeth are responding, and it usually fades quickly.
Most of your progress happens at home as you switch to each new set of aligners. Periodic check-ins let Dr. Jadeja monitor how your teeth are moving, and our early-morning hours can make those visits easier to fit in before work.
Crowded or misaligned teeth can place extra biting pressure on certain teeth and contribute to uneven wear. Guiding them into better positions may help your bite share that pressure more evenly, supporting comfortable chewing over time.

Discreet Straightening Built Around Your Schedule

Finding the Right Fit

Is Invisalign Right for You?

Clear aligners suit many adults with mild to moderate crowding, spacing, or bite concerns, and healthy teeth and gums give treatment a strong starting point. Use the situations below as a guide, then let a consultation confirm whether Invisalign fits your goals.

Correcting Crowding or Gaps

Overlapping teeth can trap food and make flossing frustrating, while gaps can draw attention in photos. Invisalign gradually guides teeth into better positions, and Dr. Jadeja reviews your scan and digital X-rays to confirm aligners suit the movement needed.

Preferring a Discreet Option

Your profession, social calendar, or personal preference may make visible braces feel like the wrong choice. Clear aligners keep treatment low profile, whether you are presenting at work, catching up with friends, or posing for photos.

Addressing Shifting After Braces

Teeth straightened years ago can drift when a retainer is not worn consistently. Invisalign may correct this kind of shifting with a more limited plan, and Dr. Jadeja can explain what to expect once she reviews how much your teeth have moved.

What to Expect

The Invisalign Treatment Process Explained

Invisalign treatment follows a clear sequence, from your first scan to the retainer that protects your results. We explain each stage in plain language, set expectations for wear time and check-ins, and make sure you feel prepared before your first aligners arrive.
1

Plan Your Treatment

Your visit begins with a conversation about your goals and any concerns about your teeth or bite. Dr. Shruti Jadeja examines your mouth, reviews digital X-rays, and takes an intraoral scan to build a 3D model of your teeth. That model guides a digital plan for each stage of movement.
2

Wear Your Aligners

Your custom aligners are worn 20 to 22 hours a day and removed only to eat, drink anything besides water, brush, and floss. Some plans include attachments (small tooth-colored bumps) that help aligners grip. You switch sets every one to two weeks and visit periodically so we can check your progress.
3

Protect Your Results

Once your teeth reach their planned positions, a retainer helps hold them in place while the surrounding bone and gums settle. Wearing it as directed, along with daily brushing and flossing and twice-yearly cleanings and exams, helps protect the new alignment.

Patient FAQs

Invisalign FAQs

Choosing Invisalign in Salem often brings up questions about wear time, comfort, cost, and what happens after treatment ends. We answer the most common ones below and welcome you to reach out about anything specific to your teeth, goals, or schedule.

How does Invisalign straighten teeth?

Invisalign uses a series of custom clear aligners, each shaped slightly differently from the last. Wearing each set applies gentle, controlled pressure that moves specific teeth a small amount. Over time, these gradual changes bring your teeth into the positions mapped out in your digital treatment plan.
Cost depends on how much movement your teeth need and how long treatment lasts. We review your estimated out-of-pocket cost before treatment begins, help you understand any orthodontic benefits your insurance may include, and explain third-party financing that spreads payments over time.
Most patients describe pressure or tightness rather than pain, especially for a day or two after switching to a new set. This feeling is a sign that teeth are responding to treatment, and it typically fades quickly. Smooth aligner edges also avoid the irritation brackets and wires can cause.
Timing depends on your goals and how far your teeth need to move. Minor corrections may take several months, while more complex crowding or bite concerns can take a year or longer. Wearing your aligners as directed is one of the biggest factors in staying on schedule.
Many adults with crowding, spacing, or mild to moderate bite concerns are good candidates. Your teeth and gums should be healthy before treatment starts, so Dr. Shruti Jadeja reviews your oral health, digital X-rays, and scan to confirm clear aligners suit your needs.
Some people notice a slight change in speech for the first few days as the tongue adjusts to the aligners. This usually resolves quickly with regular wear. Reading aloud or talking more often during the first week can help speech feel natural sooner.
Remove your aligners before eating or drinking anything other than plain water. Food and sugary or colored drinks can become trapped against your teeth or stain the aligners. Brush your teeth before putting your aligners back in, and keep them in their case while you eat.
Traditional braces, often provided by an orthodontist, may suit more complex bite corrections. Porcelain veneers (thin porcelain coverings) can make mildly crooked or gapped teeth look straighter without moving them. We explain which options fit your goals, timeline, and oral health.
Teeth can drift back toward their old positions without support, so you will wear a retainer as directed after treatment. We explain how often to wear it and how to care for it. Routine cleanings and exams also let us check that your alignment stays stable.
Rinse your aligners whenever you remove them and gently brush them with a soft toothbrush and clear, unscented soap. Avoid hot water, which can warp the plastic. Brushing and flossing your teeth before reinserting them keeps food and plaque from sitting against your teeth.
