Transform Your Smile with Natural-looking Porcelain Veneers
Making a great first impression matters, especially when going for an interview, looking to progress in your career, or meeting someone for a date. Whether it’s a date, wedding, or interview, no detail goes unnoticed: your waistline, hair, clothes, jewelry…and your grin. Talking about smiles, you definitely want a smile, nothing short of perfect, if you want to make a long-lasting impression.
But what if you don’t have a naturally perfect smile? No worries! Nature may not have been generous to you, but our cosmetic dentist, Dr. Shruti Jadeja, can rebuild your imperfect smile. At White Sage Dentistry, we use porcelain veneers to transform your average smile into a shining masterpiece.
The versatile nature of dental veneers
Dental veneers are thin sheaths of porcelain material attached to the front side of your teeth to make your smile shapelier and more proportionate. Dr. Jadeja recommends dental veneers to treat various dental imperfections, including:
- Permanently discolored teeth
- Gapped teeth
- Crooked teeth
- Chipped/cracked teeth
- Gummy smiles
- Abnormally shaped or sized teeth
While your veneers are artificial, the results are nothing short of life-like. The porcelain material closely “mimics” your enamel to give you natural-looking results that last for many years if you practice proper oral care.
Dental veneers procedure
Transforming your smile with veneers requires two dental appointments. During the first appointment, we establish your smile goals and budget. If you are a candidate for veneers, we file down a minimal amount of your enamel to ensure your veneers sit flat. We take impressions of your bite, make models, and send the images to a dental lab to fabricate veneers that suit your smile.
While you wait for your permanent veneers, we will install temporal veneers to protect your prepared teeth. After 2-3 weeks, your new veneers will be ready for installation. You will book an appointment with Dr. Jadeja for permanent installation. Next, we bond your veneers with dental cement, of course, after ensuring they tick all the boxes as per the model specifications.

Veneers are thin handcrafted porcelain shields worn on the front of the tooth which improve the appearance of teeth that are chipped, cracked, stained or worn. Veneers are thin as contact lenses, and are an aesthetically pleasing option of closing gaps, lengthening teeth, and providing symmetry to make your smile more natural. Veneers are intended to last for many years without changing color. They are one of the most popular cosmetic procedures in dentistry. Ask your dentist if veneers may be right for you.
Many people who get porcelain veneers do so because they are unsatisfied with the appearance of their smile. You may want to consider getting veneers if you find that you avoid smiling or hide your teeth because you are uncomfortable with the way your smile looks. Veneers can help to provide the picture-perfect smile you’ve always longed for.
Veneers are incredibly versatile in the number of problems they can address. Veneers can effectively cover chipped teeth, gaps between teeth, uneven teeth, discolored teeth, and more. If you feel that your smile has imperfections but is otherwise healthy, it is likely that veneers can address your cosmetic concerns.
Depending on the problem you want to address, you may have other options for cosmetic treatment. Teeth whitening can address staining while dental bonding can address minor chips. Gaps between teeth or overcrowded teeth can be addressed with orthodontic treatments. However, only dental veneers can address many of these issues at once with only a single treatment.
Before you get veneers, you should know that the placement of veneers involves some tooth preparation, which makes veneers a permanent solution. As some enamel will be removed from your teeth to prepare them for the veneers, the veneers will be permanently placed on your teeth and will need to be replaced if they are damaged. Veneers can last up to 15 years with proper care, at which point they may need to be replaced.
