Dear patients, I want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to read about me and my practice. So, what is the story?
The story is of my relentless pursuit to be better everyday—a better clinician, individual, and fellow human. I graduated from a dental school in my home country India, where I practiced under the guidance of an excellent clinician for 3 years in the community. I decided that I needed and wanted to know more, and the United States offers great opportunities for personal and professional growth. I boarded a plane straight to Los Angeles with a small suitcase and a big dream. I had an opportunity to work with a great researcher at the UCLA School of Dentistry through an Oral Biology Program. I went on to get my DDS degree from UC Denver Colorado before making the big move to the Pacific Northwest. Yes, I have lived in the beautiful states of California, Colorado, and Oregon. But Oregon is home!
Why dentistry? This profession has a lot to offer to people. I could not have asked for a better career. It gives me an opportunity to meet new people every day, make a small, yet significant, difference in their lives, help them in a way they can be helped, all while satiating my constant need for personal growth. Our health is our biggest asset, it needs to be nurtured and cared for and the link between oral health and overall health has become indisputable. We collaborate with your healthcare physician and other oral specialists in the area to provide you with the best care possible. As far as our patients—we LOVE them! We listen, observe, verify, educate, engage in, and manage their care.
My recent passion project is helping individuals with sleep breathing disorders. I learn and collaborate with highly knowledgeable professionals at the UCLA School of Dentistry in their sleep medicine in dentistry facility. These professionals have dedicated their lives studying this subject matter and helping individuals across the country.
